Question: If a person at home hears a live stream adhan from his local masjid, would that count as a valid adhan? بِسْمِ اللهِ الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيْم In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Yes, if the adhan is a live broadcast from one’s local masjid, then it would be considered a valid adhan, thus one may suffice on it. However, the Sunnah is not fulfilled with an adhan that was previously recorded, e.g. via a mobile app.
