Question:

Is it permissible in Islam to remarry your wife after she has give Khula.

Answer:

In the name of Allah, the most Gracious and the most Merciful,

Assalamualikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,

Khula' refers to the wife requesting a divorce from the husband in exchange for returning the mahr (dowry) or some other monetary value and the husband accepting the request of khula' . Khula' constitutes a talaaq baain (one irrevocable divorce) however, if the husband intended three talaaqs , three will apply.

If the husband only intended one talaaq from the khula' then it is possible for both of you come together in marriage again by contracting a new agreement of marriage whether it be in the iddat or after it.

However, if the husband intended three talaq from  the khula' , three will apply and both of them cannot marry again. There's only one situation the marriage between them will be valid again and that is if the wife marries another man and they consummate the marriage and then, for some reason, the second husband either divorces her or dies, then after the Iddat, she can remarry the first husband.
